Project Management and Training Outsourcing

Objective

Bradley Lambert, Inc. can manage and implement large-scale training development and delivery projects on behave of the client.  By using Bradley Lambert, Inc. for project management, the company effectively leverages existing HR and Training Department resources.  The result is a professionally planned, managed and implemented project that uses company leaders to set overall direction and subject matter experts to provide input to the project while not burdening employees.

Activities

  • Bradley Lambert, Inc. implements a six phase process in coordination with the client.  The Steering Team guides the overall project and Design Teams are chartered for the development of each class.  The client members on the Design Team provide overall direction, input and review during the design of each class.
     
  • Phase I – Establish Steering Team for Project
    • Identify 2-3 key people to provide overall guidance for project
    • Conduct kick-off meeting for Steering Team
      • Identify overall objectives for the project
      • Plan for needs assessment (if not previously done)
      • Review high level plan for project
      • Set schedule for regular Steering Team meetings
         
  • Phase II – Conduct Needs Assessment (If not completed previously by client)
    • Coordinate with Steering Team on approach for Needs Assessment
    • Conduct Needs Assessment
    • Report results to Steering Team

  • Phase III – Prepare Plan for Project
    • Work with Steering Team to:
      • Finalize objectives for the project
      • Select and prioritize classes for development
      • Determine target dates for completion of each class
      • Identify potential delivery methods (classroom, interactive distance learning, web/computer based, video based)
      • Determine assessment approach
      • Determine high level roll out plan
    • Prepare detailed project plan for review and buyoff
    • Review project plan with Steering Team
      • Develop draft formats for selection by the Steering Team
      • Identify Design Team for each class
      • Establish high level objectives for the class
    • Finalize project plan
  • Phase IV – Design Team Established for Each Class
    • Kick-off meeting with each Design Team
      • Review draft objectives and outline for class (if available)
      • Set up review meetings
      • Review timeline for development of class
      • Review process for providing input to BLI designer for class 
      • Identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
      • Identify other resources needed by BLI designer
         
  • Phase V – Class Design
    • Conduct data gathering
    • Revise class objectives and outline (if needed)
    • Review and buy-off of objectives and outline by Design Team
    • Draft class materials depending on type of delivery
      • Participant and Leader Guides
      • CBT / WBT scripts
      • Video Scripts
    • Review content with SMEs for accuracy and completeness
    • Review and feedback by Design Team
    • Revise class materials
    • Prepare for pilot delivery
    • Pilot class
    • Prepare summary of feedback and recommended revisions
    • Present recommendations to Design Team
    • Revise class materials
    • Final review and buy-off by Design Team
       
  • Phase VI – Implement Class and Assessment of Training
    • Work with Steering Team to:
    • Finalize roll out plan
    • Finalize assessment plan
    • Execute the plan
    • Assess training
  • Report to Steering Team on roll out and assessment
